A 1975 attempt to fight the climate change
Dear Gov. Brown,
May the Mayors hear your call to act on climate change!
My name is Martin Hadzhistoykov and on my part I’m actively promoting electric mobility since 2010.
Created 4 EV websites in Bulgaria, am very happy owner of Renault Twizy electric car, and now work on an EV project called “Eco and wine tourism with EVs in Bulgaria.”
It’s unique: two 1975 Buick Electra converted to electric for amazing EV journeys around Bulgarian wineries.
I’m calling it MAKING IT NOT SUCK – reviving classic cars in a stunning modern way for joufyl experiences. This PowerPoint piece will show you how.
Why that old gas guzzler?
Because it turns heads and because it’s the most unexpected vehicle to turn into a modern super efficient electric car. And, yes, the name! Once converted to electric this thing will just make people want to go electric.
“This is real conversion,” as you said to the mayors in Vatican.
All this really attracts people – from the old smelly and thirsty V8 to a new EV – imagine gliding quietly in the beatiful countryside in such a style, stopping here and there to taste premium local wines and foods. And there’s more – we’ll provide smaller EVs for sightseeing, short local tours and amazing experiences. Plus all the benefits for the local economy, and I think it’s fantastic way to promote Bulgaria, our tourism and products.
Right now I’m waiting for the second car that I’ve purchased from IL to be delivered from USA. The other one is already being restored and prepared for the EV conversion.
Then I have to start the professional conversion (we have a team already did some great conversions) of the cars, produce and install 20 charging stations along the routes, and a mobile app to make it all easy for the people who are going to buy our tours and packages.
Would’ve been handy to have some VCs around, like in California, but we’re not the Silicone Valley. Yet, I have to make it happen.
It’s why (the climate change) and how (with EVs and having fun) I choose to make sustainable business.
Anyone wants to give a hand? Welcome!
Thank you!
